There is so much we could do together.

We ought to give our fellow citizens GOALS and OBJECTIVES, and above all, HOPE.

We can read in Wikipedia about how Singapore grew and developed under the wise direction of its late President Lee Kuan Yew who led them on the right path.

In 1958, we had the opportunity to follow the same path, during the term of President Fouad Chehab. Unfortunately for us, he was too much of a constitutionalist and refused to extend his mandate for another term. Had he done so, we might have succeeded like Singapore did.

On the other hand, Singapore was able to develop and progress because its giant neighbor, China, refused to interfere in its national affairs, though its political system was entirely different.

We, therefore, salute Singapore for having so brilliantly succeeded and China for refusing to intervene.

At the same time, we wish to send a message to Iran: Let Lebanon develop its institutions and its governance approach freely without interference. Should Lebanon succeed independantly, it is sure to become Iran's best ally.

At the same time, my message to Hezbollah would be the following.

Help us build the eighteen sector plans so we can develop them successfully. You can be of great help, and you have proved it in the Dahie and in the Energy Plan drawn up in 2006 by Mohammed Fneich. Your ally, Minister Aly Hassan El Khalil also drew up the Agriculture Plan with the FAO in 2005.

Ten other sector Plans need to be drawn up over the next six months. Why don't we work hand in hand together?

We have a lot of work ahead of us, and we need your help there. LET US JOIN OUR HANDS TOGETHER TO BUILD "TOGETHER"THE NEW LEBANON, and make it the SINGAPORE of the Middle East.
